Days off

Up until around 3 weeks ago, it was extremely rare for me to get a "day off". Since Lily flower was born, I had never spent an entire day without her. I moaned constantly to Phil that I needed a break, I was working myself too hard, before Lily I used to spend most of my days in bed, or just generally not doing much (apart from that short period of time when I went to college 5 days a week 8-6), so once Lily was born, I found it extremely difficult to get used to having to get up every day and care for someone other than myself.

Now, I'm used to it, I have no problem whatsoever with getting up everyday and caring for the person that means the most to me in the world (sorry, Phil, but she needs me more than you do!), however, I have set up an arrangement with Phil's mum (Nanny Ruth) for her to have Lily for one day every week. I decided to set this up with her because I'm still living with my parents, so they get to see Lily quite a lot, but I want her to know her Daddy's side of the family too! So today Lily is with Nanny Ruth, I get Lily back at around 5PM so that she can have her dinner, bath, milk, bed routine as normal. It doesn't feel like a day off, it feels like something is missing. For one day every week, I get a look into what my life would be like if I didn't have Lily (obviously not completely, if I didn't have Lily I'd be in full time college), it feels weird... I much prefer life as a mummy to life as a student.

On a slightly different note, most of my friends my age have now all buggered off to Uni, I am VERY jealous of all of them. Being in Uni is meant to be the best part of your life, and it all seems so far away from me at the moment. But as I think about it, it's really not that far off! Pretty soon my baby flower will be going to SCHOOL and I'll be going to UNI! It's a scary, scary thought.

15 months old

Last Sunday (11th September) our flower baby turned 15 months old (yeah, so I'm a little behind).
During the past month Lily has;
-Got her feet measured for the first time! 3.5G
-Got her first pair of real shoes!
-Got her 7th and 8th teeth!
-Proven how much she loves her food.
-Drawn her first picture.
-Said "apple" for the first time!

That's all I can think of right now, but I can tell you, it's been a busy month for her.
On a side note, last Tuesday I went back to college, I'm only going every Tuesday and Thursday evening, so Phil has Lily when he gets back from work, then I'm pretty much straight out the door and on the train. It's going to take a while for me to get used to the extra work, and not being able to see Phil so much, but my future mother-in-law has agreed to have Lily for a whole day once a week, I think we've settled on every Friday, but that could change, as she leads quite a busy lifestyle (three young children, works from home, ect ect), so atleast that gives me one day a week to catch up on housework/college work or, dare I say it, have a break?!

I promise I'll try to be better and update more, but I always feel like I should add pictures, and I never have the energy to upload them (as you can see, I have zero pictures on this post, oops).
