Lily started sleeping through the night when she was about 2 months old. And by sleeping through the night I don't mean 10pm to 6am, I mean 7pm to 7am (sometimes 8am). I've always said that I've been blessed with a fantastically easy baby...
HOWEVER, last night Lily woke at midnight and started screaming the entire street down, obviously I went into her room to try and settle her, but she just wasn't having any of it and wouldn't stop screaming. Now, you have to understand that Phil has to get up in the morning to be at work by 6am, so I was frantically trying to keep Lily quiet. There was a lot of back a forths of me putting her back down in her cot and leaving the room in the hopes that she'd just settle down in a few minutes, and then me returning after about 5 minutes of non-stop screams. Eventually at about 1:30 I broke down and started crying with her, my mum then woke up (we all live with my parents) and came into the room and took her from me and Lily immediately stopped crying... Which made me cry even more. My mum tried putting Lily down in her cot, but she straight away started screaming, so I went and warmed up a bottle of formula (Lily only ever has formula just before bed as she's not a very good eater, and she NEVER has it out of bottles, so this was clearly only a one off) and we went downstairs and fed her. She calmed down so much she was actually laughing. At about 2am I put her down in her cot and she made a few whimpers but then slept until about 7:15 this morning.
Phil actually managed to get to work on time (just), so I'm incredibly proud of him, at least it's his day off tomorrow so he can catch up on lost sleep!
Me and Lily are having a very chilled day today as I'm far too tired to do much else. Really hoping she's back to her normal self tonight, I'm so not used to such a small amount of sleep!
Welcome to the blogging world :)
